From February to April 2014 I worked with UNEP-ProEcoServ programme.
Please find the translation of the manuscript of « Integrating Ecosystem Services in Strategic Environmental Assessment: A guide for practitioners » (65 pages) I provided for UNEP-ProEcoServ: here.
The Project for Ecosystem Services (ProEcoServ) is a four-year project funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF). It builds on the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment (MA), its sub-global assessments (SGA) and the ongoing activities to follow up on the MA. The project involves four pilot countries, including Chile, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, and Vietnam.
ProEcoServ aims to ensure that knowledge and information on ecosystem services and biodiversity management are mainstreamed into public and private sectors responsible for the use and management of natural resources at a national level.
In order to support the teams, the Proecoserv global team has prepared a guideline on how to integrate ecosystem services into strategic environmental assessment. The UNEP’s publishing board suggested that the guideline should also be translated into French and Spanish in order to increase the impact.
